Celebrity rehab on TV: Can celebrities recover from addictions while the camera watches? – Part 1
As a person who has some personal experience with alcohol and drug abuse, which is inconceivable to me that the souls of the poor without shame to watch television on Celebrity Rehab has no real chance of recovery. There are thousands of reasons why I feel this way. But for the sake of argument, this article will focus on two. The audience that encourages and rewards these people for their bad behavior and private life, you must connect with the emotional aspects of addiction. The first is the key element that drives the addiction in the first place.
To begin with, the name is a play misnomer. The should be called something like "B-list or drunk," Addicted to the House and crack. "I'm sorry I that.It celebrities only the name of this program have been in the spotlight for some time. So you can put back on the screen is feeding his ego. that most of the CCS (representing board certified addiction for those of you who do not know) will say is one of the first things that an employee is required to check the door to initiate a process of honest and healthy recovery. This may be a wrong assumption on my part, but most people in the entertainment industry and the need to seek the approval of others. There is much that there are and the work or the boat. We're not talking about them. The participants of this quasi-waste program have obviously fallen on really hard times and are desperate or broke enough to undergo this form of exploitation. This is where the viewer play.
boat I guess you could say I'm a TV snob. My tastes are eclectic. All forms of crime drama, some comedy and a healthy dose sports. The History Channel is a big part of what I see. from time to time, while waving around (yes, I am a flicker chronic trade Can'T Stand) my remote stops on a show like "Celebrity Rehab." And after about five minutes of this boat I'm going to wait to wash only hard news is crazy about me. While there may be a public key in this stalkerazzi present, world famous cult This show seems to satisfy. Not for me.One might say, "Hey dude you should not see." Argument true.My very true is that we are talking about human beings who are in a vulnerable situation and a couple of dollars and some time on the screen that lay their lives wasted in the whole world to see the surface. How do you think that you really feel? Oh, that's right. the other part of my private life argument. The really need to focus on recovery.
Fifteen years ago my life was a disaster. Scotch & Coke ruled my life. After a near death experience I went to a rehabilitation center. It is based on knowledge of addiction, confrontation and intensive therapy group of 12 step programs in the world is now so familiar. People who have shared this terrible, beautiful and cathartic of my life with wine from all walks of life. And yes, there was also a famous musical there. those of us who made it through treatment had one thing in common. There was a turning point in our lives, our feelings and emotions were too much to face and that when we started to self-medicate. Another common feature is none other than the musician and producer of the above, all were anonymous to each other. This was crucial. For most of 20 years, it was difficult for me to tell my closest family and friends what was really happening with me. Do you really think that Jeff Conway and China will actually let you know that deep, painful secret that prevents them from moving to a place of humility and honesty. You know, the place to take a real recovery. Call me a cynic. I do not see happening.
