Quitting smoking
back the old days, it was considered cool if you smoke. It is now deprecated. So, who has banned smoking in restaurants, bars and anywhere that is public. You are lucky if you get to smoke at home. Now I think it will not let me smoke in my house. My family does not. I've become the crazy old woman who sits on the porch, smoking a cigarette hidden in a large blanket or sweat as you watch everyone walking their dogs. Oh well, at least, was a way to meet my neighbors.
back the old days, we have shown that cigarettes commercial glamorous. Today, tobacco advertising were banned, replaced by ads to say how many people died of cancer and many more are diagnosed in the coming years. Tells us of the dangers of passive smoking for our families and the people around us. And though I'm not trying to minimize cancer, many deaths from it, the danger of you or give it to someone else, I sometimes wonder why tobacco advertising were banned, while praising the beer. Prancing horses, dogs, beautiful women and persons who have traveled the fun with our TV screen while announcing Budweiser, Natural Light, Busch and Oh, how could I almost forget my name ….. Miller beer. What is the difference? Because smoking causes cancer? Yes, it is possible and that is worse than getting cirhossis liver and drown in his blood? Please. I have seen family members die of both, and I think I pass both, thank you very much. And while I know that a lit cigarette falling into your lap while you are trying to drive a light or while driving may cause an accident, if given the opportunity to meet with a car driven by a smoker or a car driven by someone drinking alcohol, I take my chances against the smoker any day of week.
back the old days, the biggest stars of Hollywood and the smoke made it seem attractive. John Wayne. Clark Gable. Katherine Hepburn. To name a few. Today, the stars do not smoke ….. cool Unless marijuana. They prefer to take drugs and end up in rehab. Or drink. Much better, right?
realize that I am hurting myself by smoking and have tried to quit smoking. But it is so difficult. On the upside, as I passed the age of experimentation with marijuana, not like the taste of beer and have neglected my almost never drank margeritas
